About Ottawa

Ottawa, Canada's capital, is a city of physical and cultural diversity where the country's two founding cultures, French and English, intersect harmoniously. With stunning national monuments, outstanding architecture and beautiful green spaces, the city provides a scenic adventure for visitors. The Rideau Canal is lined with lush gardens, impeccably groomed streets and pathways for a variety of outdoor activities. The interesting mix of galleries, museums and boutiques speckled throughout the city, illustrate its international stature without sacrificing small town ambiance

Airport

The airport is 25 minutes away from the hotel. An airport shuttle service runs every 30 minutes. Cost is $12US. Taxis are readily available and cost about $20 US.

Costs

Meals: if you are paying for your own meals, expect to pay $US15 – 40 per person per day. Tipping is expected (in the 10 – 15% range), for waiters, cab drivers, bar staff etc.
Long distance calls may be very expensive if placed from your hotel room. However, many people travel with long distance calling cards, and the cost is much less.
